The world, thanks to Cain and the Serpent, was now on the slow pathway to self-destruction. We also
know Cain, through his “ways,” was doing the exact opposite that God had planned for him. Adam had
fallen a long time before this. The whole working world of the Garden had forever changed. The other
fallen, corporeal angels of the Garden probably felt vindicated, at least in their minds. Cain began to
influence the developing societies around him with these anti-God religious beliefs. Cain, the Serpent,
and now these other fallen angels were being held in high regard - for their “other worldly” knowledge.
This would, eventually, give them their “bargaining chips,” to get themselves whatever they wanted.

The rest of the fallen angels, also known as the
Nephilim, wanted their place in this post-Adamic world.
The power grid had changed; and these fallen angels aimed to keep it that way. We recall the prophecy,
as stated by God to the Serpent:[1]

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise
thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel…
                                           - Gen. 3:15 (KJV)

The word seed, in this above verse, means “semen virile;” hence “offspring,” “posterity,” and
“descendants.”[2] We know there were groups of human beings with truly human blood: Adam, the
Adamites, and other pre-Adamites. We also know there had begun to be offspring on the earth with mixed
blood - those with blood of the Serpent (such as Cain). We’ll now discover there would be
more crossbred-
offspring - via these fallen angels, as well; and we’ll discover what it all would mean to the Genesis 3:15
To begin, the mixing of human and fallen angelic blood was not in God’s plan for the human race, as far
as “kind after kind.” There would be entirely new groups of people emerging.

…while the other race of evil fame which trod the earth in Cain's lifetime is shown by both the Bible
and Babylonian monuments to have been half human - half spirit. These people are called in the Bible
the Nephilim, Rephaim, or Fallen Ones, and are said to have been the children of the fallen angels
who took as wives the daughter of men. As Professor King points out, a parallel is provided in the
Babylonian inscriptions: “… According to the traditions the records embody, the Sumerians looked
back to a time when gods lived upon the earth with men... we read of two Sumerian heroes, also rulers
of cities who were divine on the father's or mother's side but not on both” (Legends of Babylon and
Egypt, p. 39).
                                                                                            (Bristowe, 1927, p. 101)[3]

We’ll now see this era of crossbreeding (Nephilim with human) would go beyond just the Serpent and Eve.
This would be known as the great time of
fornication: a genetic expansion of angelic sperm into human

If we think about it, could these types of mixed-offspring even be possible? The merging of angels and
humans into living, breathing, offspring has been a heavily debated topic for centuries. Today, many
scholars agree that these angels (often known as
Sons of God) were nothing more than pious human
beings, even human
judges over people.[5] Many people have tried to disprove the existence of angels,
especially the possibility of any sort of cohabitation. These same people, however, cannot deny the
voracity of ancient written works to the contrary. Are all of these ancient texts wrong, just because
things like this don’t happen today? There are even a number of large human remains, oversized tools,
and even coffins, now found throughout the world.[6] In fact, no one really challenged the truth of these
angelic unions until the third or forth century A.D.[7]

For some strange reason, however, a number of people, over the centuries, have attempted to stop
this information from coming out; or, at least, disallow the validity for the argument. The famous Cath-
olic scholar, Augustine, however, wrote this about fallen angels: “… their nature is animal, their mind
rational, their soul subject to passions… (these things) they have in common with men…”[8] We recall
the Serpent lusted after Eve as well, with these same human thoughts, passions and emotions. What
about angels having the same
physical attributes?

We are given a number of Biblical examples of angels who actually had the physical ability to alternate
between man and angel.[9] One angel was considered a
man by others around him (in Genesis 18:22),
and then back to an
angel (Genesis 19:1 and 19:15), and back to a man again (Genesis 19:16). Three
angels approached Abraham to announce the birth of his son, Isaac. Abraham viewed them
as human
; but, later, understood they were something more. Two angels visited Lot, and physically
dragged him and his family away from the cities of Sodom and Gommorah. These same angels stayed
with him for a night, and ate of his food. Lot, however,
knew that they were something more, as well.
There was an angel who physically wrestled with Jacob. All of these were considered “men” to the
ancients, but they also knew there was something more to them.

There are even some angels in our world considered so close to men that, according to the Bible,
people might encounter them and never even know they were something more:

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
                                                                                     - Heb. 13:2 (KJV)

When these angels of old fell, they, according to the Bible, did lose their former “estate” (Jude 1:6):

…(the angels), who rebelled above, and whom the Holy One, blessed be He, caused to fall from
heaven, were forced to put on and to live with the garments of the earth. They could not divest them-
selves of these garments and could not return to their former residence with the rest of the angels.
They remained forever on earth.

Through all the depravity that raged, it was obvious God wasn’t going to take this for long; God also
knew the prophecy of Genesis 3:15 had to be fulfilled; the availability of Adamic seed also was rapidly
diminishing. God needed to stop this progression, and quickly. As we know, a flood would have to be.
These people weren’t going to stop on their own; God had to stop them.

Because He was a fair God, there was advanced warning. Those who really wanted to be pious still
had opportunities to escape God’s wrath. Before we come to the flood itself, we’ll discover one more
element of the antediluvian world: an extremely negative element. The previously mentioned deprav-
ities of the Cainites, Nephilim, and Anakims would not be enough to push God too far. There would be
another group of individuals to arrive on the scene, right around this time - a group who would bring the
world down, even
further. Their arrival would be the “final straw” of God’s suffrage to everyone on the
planet. Let’s see who this group was.
poreal life, so he might as well bring down everyone he could around him. The rest of the angels,
just like the
Serpent, realized there would be nothing in the afterlife for them too, so they began to think
this same way; and mated with women on a grand scale. Their “rewards” in life were right in front of
them. These sexual “tricks” gave women knowledge and power which, in turn, allowed the Nephilim
temporary feelings of fulfillment.

Proceed against the bastards and the reprobates, and against the children of fornication…
                                                                                       - 1 Enoch 10:9[18]

Other byproducts of these affairs were, of course, babies - mixed offspring. As result of mixed angelic
blood, another problem arose: a compromise was developing in pure human seed! Many of the people
born were no longer of pure human blood. This also began to affect the Prophecy of Genesis 3:15. If
these trends continued - if there would be no pure seeds of Adam left – the unthinkable would happen:
it could negate the Genesis 3:15 Prophecy from coming true! Again, when God makes a prophecy it
to come true. A pure seed of Adam has to pass to whoever would be the “savior” of Eve’s
These mixed numbers were growing. The pure descendants of Adam were dwindling. God had to do
something to save the seed of Adam, so the Prophecy would be fulfilled. There would soon be a major
change in the world - a

What was so wrong with the mixing of humans and Nephilim, other than this? First off, we’ve already
mentioned that these crossbred offspring weren’t really meant for this earth. The reason? A number of
genetic disturbances developed because of it. Some of these mixed offspring could have turned out
normally – similar to other human beings; many others did not. There were a number of those either
much bigger or smaller than their human counterparts.[19] Many were giants, physical giants:

On the earth there once were giants.
                                                                                   - Homer (circa 400 B. C.)[20]

A majority of these individuals ended up 9 feet tall.[21] These giants were known, in ancient times,
as the

First they were called Nefilim, the fallen, at the time they were dropped down from heaven. After they
joined up with the females of human kind and had children from them, the children were called
                                                                              - Zohar Shlach Lecha 10[22]

As imagination could suggest, there would also be a developing
enmity between many of these “mixed
multitudes” and many of the purebred descendants of Eve and Adam. As well, there were those who
plainly did not want to follow the “ways of Cain,” and tried to separate themselves from all of the corrup-
tion brewing around them. Even with these noble attempts, the strength of those who would be pious
would not last. The out-of-control moral actions of these fallen angels, the descendants of Cain, and, now,
the giants, would eventually get the better of everyone around:

And as for those who do (this) wickedness, their judgment is ready, and their error is lasting.
                                                                        - Book of the Glory of Kings (Kerba Nagast) 6[23]

Human beings placed under the domain of Cain, the Nephilim, and the Serpent, would eventually begin to
look to them as “gods.” How long would this sacrilege continue, without the entire civilized world
succumbing to total corruption? How many Adamic people still left would fall short? Would any pious
remain to carry on
his seeds?

…they knew that whoever was descended from Cain was doomed to annihilation.
                                                                                  (Ginzberg, 1909, p. 117)[24]

Let’s look more, in detail, of what went on in those days, and continue more with understanding the
corruption brought out by the descendants of Cain (known as the
Cainites). In the Bible, there were a few
descendants of Cain who helped bring to civilization previously-unheard tools of construction, and, as
we’ll see, of destruction, as well. Let’s look at the final, antediluvian descendant of Cain’s seed line, as
mentioned in the Bible:

Lamech was mentioned more in the Bible than any other descendent of Cain.[25] There seems to be a
reason for this, however: his role was very important to the whole scheme of our ancient world. We
need to take a detailed look at this man, and the relevance he will soon have on the Cainites. This one
man, through one act, truly changed the course of world history. We’ll soon learn what he was respon-
sible for.

Times were extremely different back then. There was no TV; no Internet; nothing compared to today.
There wasn’t much to do, other than work. The Cainites and other people around them often sat
around idly, without direction, without goals, and without a means for self-esteem. There weren’t a lot of
ways for them to get out of the feelings of idleness. Things were changing, however, to take them away
from all their boredom:

And how shall I occupy myself in times of idleness?
                                                                 In music, dancing, and song.
                                                                                (Baring-Gould, 1881, p. 54)[26]

Now, certain descendants of Lamech (Jubal and Tubal-Cain) learned ways, probably from the Nephilim,
to provide the masses with temporary relief. They began to play music and experiment with intoxicating
substances, such as wine.

Thus did this (Jubal and Tubal-Cain)… thus multiply sin exceedingly… (they) also acted with pride,
and taught the children of Cain to commit all manner of the grossest wickedness, which they knew not;
and put them up to manifold doings which they knew not before.
                                                                              - Second Book of Adam and Eve 20:6[27]

Their need to dominate and destroy came out of the essential emptiness of their souls, which they
sought in vain to fill with earthly pleasures. However, the more they stole, the emptier their souls
became, and they had to conquer and plunder more and more to fill the emptiness inside them until
all life on Earth was in peril of being destroyed. And even if they had conquered the whole world, they
still would have lost their souls.
(“Giants of the Ancient Near East”, 2003, p. 13)[28]

The more time that passed, the hungrier people became for these newly-discovered forms of knowl-
edge and pleasure. Obviously, it was the fallen angels who were teaching these arts to the
descendants of Cain. It is true that the arts of metalworking, music, and other forms of ancient
“technologies” could be positive for mankind; but, if used in the wrong respect, the same could truly
complicate human life, and turn many in the wrong direction. That was exactly what happened.

Yôbâl (Jubal) and Tôbalkîn (Tubal-Cain), the two brethren, the sons of Lamech… invented and made
all kinds of instruments of music. Yôbâl made reed instruments, and harps, and flutes, and whistles,
and the devils went and dwelt inside them. When men blew into the pipes, the devils sang inside
them, and sent out sounds from inside them. Tôbalkîn made cymbals, and sistra, and tambourines
(or drums).
                                                    - Cave of Treasures The Second Thousand Years[29]

Satan also taught… (Jubal and Tubal-Cain) to bring strong drink out of corn; and this… (they) used to
bring together companies upon companies in drink-houses; and brought into their hands all manner
of fruits and flowers; and they drank together… Then when they were drunk, hatred and murder
increased among them; one man used violence against another to teach him evil taking his children
and defiling them before them… Then sin increased among them greatly; until a man married his own
sister, or daughter, or mother, and others; or the daughter of his father’s sister, so that there was no
more distinction of relationship, and they no longer knew what is iniquity…
                                                                       - Second Book of Adam and Eve 20:5-10[30]

Over time, people wanted to have sex with their own in-laws, their mothers, even their own daugh-
ters.[31] People began to walk around naked.[32] Many had sex, whenever and with whomever.
No longer could be seen the family values God instilled in Adam. As stated, many people of the day
truly began to act like the dogs and other beasts that surrounded them.[33] God was not pleased.
one around them. The Nephilim, for generations to
come, would teach mankind arts and sciences pre-
viously unknown to human beings, held only for
those of a heavenly estate. They began to use this
knowledge as “bargaining chips,” in exchange for
what they wanted.

One thing quickly became present in their minds:
the exchange of knowledge for their newfound de-
sires for sexual intercourse![17] Women wanted
power, and had their bodies to offer. The Nephilim
had this information to exchange. Thus began forn-
ication on a grand scale.

The Serpent was already cursed by God. He knew
he was condemned to a spiritual death after his cor-
Since certain angelic beings could be on the same plateau, or “estate,” as mankind in so many ways,
why couldn’t they have the ability to function in all ways?[11] The Bible clearly states that angels could
sleep, eat, and overall function like any normal human; why couldn’t the sexual function work as well?

The angels… no sooner had they rebelled against God and descended to earth than they lost their
transcendental qualities, and were invested with sublunary bodies, so that a union with the daughter
of men became possible.
                                                                 (Ginzberg, 1909, p. 151)[12]

Although there was a dissention of angels, although there were people following Cain, there were also
a number of people who truly wanted to follow God. There were direct descendants of Adam who knew
they should keep their seed pure, to allow for the fulfillment of Genesis 3:15. Beyond the need to keep
this seed, there was another reason God forbade his descendants to marry those of other cultures
(beyond having blood of the Nephilim) – many of them began to act in the idolatrous ways of Cain and the
Serpent. They, as well, began to act like “beasts.” Here is an example of why God forbade the post-flood
Children of Israel to marry other people around them:

There are many evil kinds among Yisrael (Israel) that are called cattle and beasts. One is from the
side of the Serpent and another from the side of the idolatrous nations, who are like the animals and
wild beasts.
                                                                        - Zohar Beresheet A29[13]

There was a rationale behind why the ancient Israelites were told not to marry foreigners - and it
just their blood line; it was also connected with the major possibility that the non-Israelite partner may
cause the Israelite, and their children, to gravitate towards other, pagan ways (i.e. Deuteronomy 7:3,
Joshua 23:12)! It wasn’t purely because of racism or segregation. Many antediluvian people began to
follow the ways of the fallen angels in thought and deed. They began to act “beast-like” - as savage and
uncivilized as an animal:

The mixed multitude consists of ignorant people, about whom it is written: “Cursed be he that lies
with any manner of beast” (Devarim 27:21), because they come from the side of that Serpent…
                                                                                      - Zohar Beresheet A29[14]

The “ways” of Cain and the Serpent led, truly, to an indecent moral code. A number of these people
openly chose to follow the
attitudes, behaviors, and "ways" of Cain - the ways of a pompous, arrogant
Serpent. One can only imagine the potential for chaos developing, here. A verse in Ephesians seems
to point towards a specific group of people who follow these "ways:"

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of the world, according to the prince and
power of the air (i.e. Satan), the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom
also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of the flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh
and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
                - Eph. 2:3 (KJV)

These “ways” of Cain – often leading one towards selfish, “beastly” acts and attitudes – would allow
one to easily understand why they were called
beast-like qualities![15] These ways of life quickly
began to bring whatever civilized world there was down.

…they cast the world into ruins, were themselves driven from the world in ruin, and caused the world
to be ruined…
                                                                       - Genesis Rabbah 26:7[16]

If these angels couldn’t regain their original estates, they figured, at least, they could dominate the
material world around them. They continually looked for ways to make them feel good, and feel more
esteemed. They had no hope in the afterlife. All they now could do was to exploit everything and every-
